Valerie Montgomery Rice, a nationally recognized leader in health equity and diversity, will be the featured speaker at a series of events over the next few days hosted by the UC Davis School of Medicine and the Provost’s Office.

Montgomery Rice is the president and dean of the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, which calls itself the nation’s leading academic medical center for vulnerable populations.
Among the highlights of her virtual presentations and interactive sessions will be a Facebook Live discussion – The Intersection of Social Justice, Health & Well-being – that will also feature UC Davis School of Medicine Dean Allison Brashear and UC Davis Chancellor Gary S. May.
The public is invited to the discussion, which will take place on Monday, Oct. 12, from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on the School of Medicine’s Facebook page.
In addition, Montgomery Rice will hold a series of events with students and academic leaders Sunday and Monday.
