Children's Bereavement Workshop
This group is appropriate for children between the ages of 6-18 who are coping with the loss of a loved one. The format for this group is a series of three virtual groups focusing on grief and processing loss through self-expression and art. Each workshop will be facilitated by a Child Life Specialist and Art Therapist, trained in bereavement and child development. This group is offered free to the community and all supplies needed will be sent beforehand at no cost to the participant. For additional questions, please call 916-734-5510.

Parent's Bereavement Support Group 
This group is appropriate for parents who have lost a child from birth to age 21.  This eight week group, co-facilitated by UC Davis Hospice grief counselors, provides a safe, intimate environment in which to process the devastating loss of a child.  This structured group approach focuses on self-care, reducing isolation, developing supportive relationships with other parents, and fostering a healthy grieving process.  This group is offered once a year, free of charge, as a community service of the UC Davis Hospice Program.  For more information, please call 916-731-6867.

Young Adult Bereavement Art Group 
This group is appropriate for young adults, age 17 to 24, coping with a recent death of someone close. Topics to be covered during this eight-week course include acknowledging and understanding grief, expressing and accepting feelings, changing of roles, coping and stress, and developing supportive relationships. This group is offered twice a year as a free community service by the UC Davis Hospice Program, UC Davis Children’s Hospital Bereavement Program, and the Children’s Miracle Network.
